Maze Generator is designed to be privacy-first. Maze generation happens in your browser, no account is required, and we collect as little data as possible.
What happens in your browser
All maze generation runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. The maze data never leaves your device during generation.
Export operations (PDF, PNG, SVG, Word, ZIP) are performed client-side. Your maze content is not uploaded to any server for processing.
Large or batch maze generation uses Web Workers — background threads that run entirely within your browser.
What we do not collect
We do not require accounts or registration. You can generate and download mazes without providing any personal information.
We do not upload your maze designs, layouts, or export files to any server.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising networks, or user profiling of any kind.
Minimal server data
The site is hosted on Cloudflare's edge network. Cloudflare may collect anonymized, aggregate connection metrics (such as request counts and cache hit rates) for operational purposes.
We do not maintain user accounts, databases, or server-side storage for maze content.
Third-party services
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts for consistent typography. Google may log the font request as part of their service delivery.
No other third-party scripts, analytics platforms, or external services are used on this site.
Your rights and choices
Since we do not collect or store your personal data, there is no account to delete or data to export.
You can use the site without JavaScript enabled, though the generator tool requires JavaScript to function.

Legal basis for processing
The site processes minimal data based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — delivering the maze generation service and maintaining operational security.
Maze generation and export operations run entirely in your browser. No personal data is transmitted to our servers for these core functions.
For any data processed by our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare), the legal basis is the legitimate interest in ensuring network security and service availability.
Your data subject rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data. Since we collect minimal to no personal data, exercising these rights is straightforward in most cases:
Right of access (Art. 15)
You may request confirmation of whether we process your personal data. As we do not maintain user accounts or databases, we hold no stored personal data about you.

You may request correction of inaccurate personal data. Since we do not store personal data, there is typically nothing to correct.

You may request deletion of your personal data. As no personal data is stored on our servers, there is nothing to erase.
Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18)
You may request restriction of processing. Maze generation runs locally in your browser and is not processed on our servers.
Right to data portability (Art. 20)
You may request your data in a machine-readable format. Since we do not collect or store your data, there is no data to export. Your generated mazes remain on your device.
Right to object (Art. 21)
You may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Contact us to discuss any concerns about our minimal data processing.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies.
Cloudflare, our infrastructure provider, may set a technical cookie (__cf_bm) for bot detection and security purposes. This cookie is strictly necessary for the operation of the site and does not track users across sites.
No consent banner is required as we do not deploy non-essential cookies.
International data transfers
The site is hosted on Cloudflare's global edge network. Cloudflare participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and provides Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as a transfer mechanism for data processed outside the EEA.
Since maze generation runs locally in your browser, your maze content does not cross any border through our systems.

Data retention
We do not store personal data or maze content on our servers. Any server-side logs retained by Cloudflare are aggregated, anonymized, and kept for a limited period for operational purposes only.
Generated maze files remain on your device and are subject to your own retention practices.

If you believe our data processing violates the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your EU member state, the UK, or Switzerland.
